Love making cookies just to shamelessly eat the cookie dough? Don’t waste your eggs on cookies that won’t ever make it to the oven! Find all of my Egg Free, Made for Eating, Edible Cookie Dough Recipes below!

edible cookie dough recipes

If you are reading this post, I know we are kindred spirits. I LOVE all things cookie dough, I’m going to assume you are the same way. Virtual fist bump, we are officially friends.

You know what I don’t love? Consuming raw eggs. (Thanks to my Dad getting eColi when I was a kid. It has made me one paranoid little lady!) I’ve done all the work for you, now you too can eat all the cookie dough you want with out those raw eggs.

Am I missing any flavors you’d like? Let me know in the comments and I’ll develop the recipe for you!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

It is only fitting that we start with the classic, right? This Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough will taste exactly how you are hoping it does. The texture of the sugar is right on point with that of real cookie dough. I like to add this to ice cream, but mostly eat it by the spoonful. 😉

Edible Egg Free Cookie Dough is made for EATING! The taste and texture is just like the real deal- no one will be able to tell the difference!

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough

Peanut Butter Cookie dough is smooth and full of that nutty flavor you are searching for. If you are a peanut butter fan, definitely make this recipe!

OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH

You know that homey flavor oats give pretty much anything? This dough has it. The Oats, the richness of the brown sugar.. okay my mouth is officially watering. This is the best Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough you’ll ever taste!

TRIPLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH

This cookie dough reminds me so much of working at Subway in high school. If you love rich, chocolate flavor with lots of add-ins, this recipe is for you!

Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough

Ahh, Snickerdoodles. The cinnamon and sugary goodness over the soft vanilla flavored dough is just ta-die-for. Make these ones, you won’t regret it.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip

Yes, it is as good as it sounds. There is something about combining the nutty peanut butter with the homey taste of oats that take this cookie dough to the next level. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 8 servings
Calories: 310kcal
Author: Karli Bitner

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter room temperature
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Cream together the butter and sugars.
  • Add the vanilla and milk. Combine thoroughly.
  • Mix in the flour and salt until combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

*If you’re nervous about consuming raw flour, I suggest you toast it beforehand! Simply spread flour out on a baking sheet and cook for 5 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool completely, then proceed with the recipe. You could also microwave the flour for 1-1 1/2 minutes. Other options are to use oat or almond flour in it’s place.

Could I freeze it? I’m thinking of making some up and putting it in tubs for Christmas stocking stuffers.

Yes, all of these can be frozen for a few months before pulling them out to serve. Christmas stocking stuffers is such a great idea!!

I have been trying your recipes for an event and froze them so that I could ensure that they were done prior. When I go to take them out of the freezer, how long before the event should I take them out prior to serving? I need to individual package each serving before the event. Any special tips for serving/preparing/defrosting the edible cookie dough after it has been frozen?

Hi there! They will only need to be out of the freezer for about 30 minutes before they are thawed. I would probably package after they thaw, just so they don’t sweat inside of the packaging. Good luck!!

You realize eColi can be in flour also. Major recall 2019.

Yes, which is why all recipes give directions on how to heat treat the flour.

Cooking the flour, actually activates protein which is why you can take out the eggs and is a great version of eating raw cookie dough (with eggs and milk).

Can you cook these as well? Might defeat the purpose of the dough being eggless but I think I might make these recipes all the time and the more ways to use the better! I just LOVE eating the raw dough though

Because there isn’t any leavening agent in the dough (no soda, baking powder or eggs) the dough will not hold together and will just melt into a flat sad cookie. haha stick with just eating the dough or mixing it into ice cream. 🙂

What else can I use besides milk/ or can I just take it off?

The milk is needed for the cookie doughs to come together. Otherwise they will be very dry and crumbly. You could try to substitute water, but I haven’t done that myself so I am unsure of whether or not this will effect the final taste of the cookie dough.
