Ingredients in Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Below is a list of all the ingredients you will need! Exact amounts can be found in the printable recipe card near the bottom of this post. 🙂

  • butter
  • brown sugar
  • milk
  • vanilla
  • flour
  • quick oats
  • salt
  • chocolate chips

I really like to use milk chocolate chips, but that is typically what I make my Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies with! If you prefer semi-sweet or even dark chocolate, use those! Just use your favorite chocolate chips and you’ll be golden!

How to make Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

The process of making the egg free cookie dough is exactly how you would make regular cookie dough.

Cream the butter and sugars (or in this case, singular sugar!) together until light and fluffy. Add in the milk and vanilla, mix again until completely incorporated. Add in the dry ingredients (flour, oats and salt) and mix until combined. Fold in those chocolate chips and get munching!

*If you’re nervous about consuming raw flour, I suggest you microwave the flour for 1 1/2 minutes prior to making the recipe.

How to Store Your Cookie Dough

I like to roll the dough into small, bitesized balls and then store in the fridge. Regardless of whether you roll into balls or not, this should be stored in the fridge.

If you want to roll into balls, I suggest rolling into balls, lining on a cookie sheet and then freezing for 10 minutes. After they have been in the freezer for 10 minutes you will be able to toss all of the balls into a zip top bag and refrigerate without the cookie dough balls sticking to each other.

I had to use brown sugar oatmeal packets because I was out of quick oats. Probably should halve the sugar if you also do that. 😂😂😂

Used mini chocolate chips and rolled oats. Did add a bit of cinnamon because oatmeal cookies need them! And, a tiny bit of baking powder because it adds that homemade cookie taste. 💯% will make again. Thank you!
