Neapolitan Fudge Recipe

I am a huge fan of this super simple fudge recipe! It has a short ingredient list and really only requires a microwave. Each layer of the fudge is creamy and flavorful, in a way that shouldn’t be possible with such minimal effort. Like the famous ice cream, this fudge has a chocolate layer (can be milk, semisweet, or dark!), a white chocolate vanilla layer, and a white chocolate strawberry layer. Combined it is so flavorful and a complete treat.

Ingredients

*You can find instructions and exact quantities in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  • Sweetened condensed milk, divided
  • Chocolate chips – Use any type of chocolate you’d like (milk, semi, dark). I prefer Ghirardelli brand milk chips here!
  • White chocolate chips – Choose a high quality chocolate here so it melts well. You can also use chopped up white chocolate bars, if preferred.
  • Freeze dried strawberries, ground to a powder – You will combine this with white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk to form the strawberry layer.

How to make Neapolitan Fudge

  1. Line a 8×4 bread pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. To make the chocolate layer: place 1/3 cup of sweetened condensed milk and the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Place in the fridge while making the next layer.
  5. To make the vanilla layer: add ⅓ cup of sweetened condensed milk and ⅔ cup of white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl.
  6. Microwave for 30 seconds and then stir. Repeat until the white chocolate is completely melted.
  7. Pour on top of the chocolate layer and spread evenly. Place in the fridge while making the strawberry layer.
  8. To make the strawberry layer: add 1/3 cup of sweetened condensed milk and ⅔ cup white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl.
  9. Microwave for 30 seconds and then stir. Repeat until the white chocolate is completely melted.  Then stir in the freeze-dried strawberries until well combined.
  10. Pour on top of the vanilla layer and refrigerate until completely set.

How should I store this easy fudge?

Once you have made all of the layers and let it set up in the fridge, cut the fudge into squares. The fudge can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days or refrigerated for 5 days!

Can I freeze neapolitan fudge?

Yes! You can freeze the fudge for up to 3 months. Let it set completely and then cut into squares. Wrap with parchment paper and then place in a ziptop bag. Place the bag in the freezer and enjoy within 3 months.

Karli’s Kitchen Faves

Here are a few of my favorite kitchen tools that I used to make this recipe!

  • Spatula – I love these silicone spatulas for stirring the hot chocolate mixtures until smooth.
  • Microwave safe bowls:  I love how giant these are! They’re perfect for mixing up the layers of fudge and will hold up well when microwaved.
  • 8×4 bread pan – This is what you’ll use to assemble and set your fudge in this recipe!
