If I were to add mini m&ms, or sprinkles does that change the cooking time?
It’s way better than any mug cake I made before! Way less spongy than regular mug cake, not 100 percent like real cake but with some icing on top I could barely tell a difference (: so happy I found this!! Didn’t want to make the whole box of cake mix so this helped my late night craving lol. So simple and delicious!
I have never tried these with cake pops, but if you try it and it works out let me know!
I love mug cakes because of the portion control, but I never knew you could make a mug cake with just cake mix and water. I am super excited to try this now. Thank you, Karli!
I was in no mood to make a whole cake and wait 45 mins to bake and 30 mins to cool. I had a box of pillsbury Funfetti cake already. I took out my favorite mug put three extra large spoonful of cake mix, two extra large spoonful of water. Whipped all ingredients with a fork. Put the mug in the microwave for 1:30 mins. I crossed my fingers and out came this amazing fluff of cake with perfect texture and no wet spots. Thank you for sharing
I am about to do this recipe with my students. I have a regular funfetti box. Will it turn out ok even though the box calls for oil and eggs too.. this recipe only asks for water.
Thanks
Yes, omit the oil and eggs and just use the water when making it in the microwave.
