Caramel Apple Bowls are THE treat of Fall! Tart apples diced into bite-sized pieces and covered with a silky soft homemade caramel, if you have 5 minutes, you’re ready to enjoy this Fall fave in the easiest (and yummiest) way.

Caramel Apple Bowls Recipe
Let’s kick this off with a little explanation because you’re probably curious about what a caramel apple bowl actually is. This bowl is every bit as delicious as your regular caramel apple, but 10,000 times easier to eat. The caramel is soft and the apples are diced into bite-sized pieces, making it a cinch to enjoy. Customize with your favorite toppings or enjoy as-is. I may never eat a normal caramel apple again!
Ingredients in Caramel Apple Bowls

- Salted butter – Salted because that is what I keep on hand in my kitchen. Unsalted butter will also work.
- Brown sugar
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Corn syrup
- Heavy cream
- Apple, diced – I like to use green Granny Smith apples because they cut the sweetness with a tart kick, but any apple will do. One thing that I feel is important, use a cold apple.
- Flakey sea salt – This is an optional topping! I recommend giving it a try at least once (I’m fairly certain you won’t go without ever again).

How to Make a Caramel Apple Bowl
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter.
- To the melted butter, whisk in the brown sugar, sweetened condensed milk, corn syrup and heavy cream until completely combined.
- Cook in the microwave on high for 30 seconds and then stir. Repeat, cooking for 30 additional seconds.
- Once cooked, remove from the microwave and stir for about 2 minutes to help the caramel cool and thicken.
- Allow the caramel to set while you wash and dice your apple and place it in a bowl.
- Pour the thickened and cooled caramel over the apples, sprinkle with flakey sea salt if desired, and enjoy with a fork.
Can I make this ahead of time and store it for later?
I don’t recommend making the Caramel Apple Bowls in advance! These are super quick to assemble, making them a great choice to make and enjoy when you’re craving them.
What type of apple should I use for caramel apples?
Caramel apples typically use a tart apple like a Granny Smith. But the beauty of the treat is that you can really use any apple you’d like.
