Muddy Buddies made with Oreos

Last week I made muddy buddies for the first time in a looooong time. Then I promptly made them with Lucky Charms for St Patricks Day. I forgot how good Lucky Charm’s marshmallows are.

Not too long after that, I was literally dreaming about Muddy Buddies at night. (I know, weird.. but actually totally normal for me.😉) Only in my dream, the muddy buddies were made with Oreos.. and covered with the cream. Heart eyes for daaaays, people!

Today was the day that all of my Cookies and Cream dreams came true. They. Are. So. Good. Period.

How to make Cookies and Cream Muddy Buddies

To make Cookies and Cream Muddy Buddies you will only need 3 ingredients. YES! You heard me right! Isn’t that crazy??

First thing, you’ll need to separate the cream from the cookies. Separate 26 double stuffed Oreos! Make sure to use double stuffed or else you won’t have enough!

oreo cookies separated from the cream.

Next, we need to turn those cookies into POWDER! This will replace the powdered sugar in the classic muddy buddy recipe. My favorite way to do this is by tossing the Oreos into my blender. Literally 10 seconds later I have powder!

Pssst. See!!

Now we will microwave the creamy filling along with 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips until it is nice and smooth. Like mentioned above, it is important to use double stuffed Oreos when making this recipe or else you won’t have enough creamy mixture to cover the cereal.

Once the creamy mixture is completely melted together and smooth, pour over 8 cups of Chex cereal. Stir to coat evenly.

Once evenly coated, pour the powdered Oreos and the coated cereal into a large gallon sized ziplock bag. Shake shake shake!! Until the cereal is covered with the Oreo Powder.

There you go!! How easy was that??

I’m excited to try this recipe! My boyfriend is allergic to dairy, so what do you think the risk would be if I left out the white chocolate chips? Would the microwaved cremes just be a bit thicker?

Hi Anna- The crushed Oreos won’t stick to the checks as well without the white chocolate chips but I bet it would still be tasty. 🙂
