Why Grilled Chicken is ESSENTIAL
Chicken is definitely my favorite protein, and grilled is the way to prepare it! Nine times out of ten, I order some type of grilled chicken sandwich at any given restaurant we go to. There is just something so satisfying about a flavorful, juicy piece of chicken.
Grilled Chicken is a summer staple for a lot of families. It is fast, versatile, picky eater friendly, and just plain tasty!
Cooking chicken on the grill literally takes minutes! 4-6 minutes on each side is all it takes. It is perfect when you have all the time in the world, or negative 3.9 seconds to have dinner ready.
Chicken is versatile, boy is that true! Dice it up and serve it on top of a salad or shred it and add pasta sauce to make the most delicious Chicken Parm Sandwiches. Slice it and it to a big bowl of Alfredo or just eat it plain.
One thing is for sure, a good all-purpose grilled chicken recipe is a MUST HAVE.
Grilled Chicken Exploding with Flavor
There are a few different ways to get some serious flavor in your grilled chicken. You can marinade it, sauce it, or rub it.
Marinading is a great option. There is just one thing that doesn’t jive to well, the whole ‘thinking about dinner hours before I’m actually going to eat’ thing doesn’t happen to often at my house.
I am all about dipping, dunking and slathering in sauce. Sometimes I just need a good, flavorful chicken breast though, ya feel me? This is where rubs come in.
Dry rubs definitely pack on the flavor. Most recipes call for a zillion different spices, most of which you probably don’t have in your cupboard right now.
Well, I have good news for you. Your new favorite chicken rub is made with 3 ingredients and is as simple as dumping and stirring.
1 package of ranch dressing mix, 1 package of Italian dressing mix and 2 tsp of chili powder is all you need.
Combine and then rub, rub, rub onto your chicken. Grill on medium high heat for 4-6 minutes on each side or until internal temps reach 165°.

Do you use all of this rub on 4 chicken breast or should I have some rub leftover?
karlibitner says
Hi Michelle- it really depends on how much in you like to use- I usually have a little leftover though!

Thank you, thank you for the steak recipe. I can’t wait to try it.
I am kosher (we cannot use dairy with poultry or meat) so I cannot use the ranch dressing mix on my chicken. What can I substitute? I prefer garlic to Chile powder to I will substitute that.
