Brownie Batter Fudge is a chocolate fudge made from egg free brownie cookie dough, sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips. This fun flavored fudge is pushing the boundaries in all the right ways!
Brownie Batter Fudge- The Fudge you didn’t know you needed!
Last month when my Cookie Dough Fudge recipe went completely nuts over on Pinterest, I knew I had to keep experimenting with fudge flavors.
When I first started testing the Cookie Dough Fudge, I was using a method that I literally had no idea if it would work or not.
That actually happens quite often, but that’s my job. To test and test and test new methods and new recipes so you don’t have to. ?
I actually Marco Polo’d (it’s an app. If you don’t know what it is, check it out immediately!) a friend and said something to the effect of ‘I just threw a recipe together and I have no idea if it is going to work. It tastes amazing but time will tell if it will actually turn out.’
Spoiler alert: it turned out. And so did the other 3 or 4 tests I ran with the recipe. My neighbors were overly blessed with fudge those couple of days!
Quickly after the Cookie Dough Fudge recipe was live, I published my Sugar Cookie Fudge recipe which is just as tasty and literally tastes exactly like sugar cookie dough. *SWOON*
Now, I bring to you, Brownie Batter Fudge and I am only sorry it took me so long. This has been on my list for almost a month now and between Thanksgiving and the stomach flu running through all 5 of us, it’s just getting up now.
Without further ado, THE BROWNIE BATTER FUDGE!
How to Make Brownie Batter Fudge
You want to start this recipe by heat treating the flour. Pour the flour into a bowl and pop it into the microwave for 45 seconds and then set aside.
Next, cream together butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and a little milk. Cream together until light in color and fluffy in texture.
Next, the dry ingredients to go in. That will be flour, cocoa and salt.
Mix thoroughly to create a thick cookie dough like mixture. (See photo below.)
Set the bowl aside. In a medium, microwave safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and a can of sweetened condensed milk.
Quality matters here for the white chocolate chips. Not only does it make the fudge taste better but some white chocolate chips have a hard time melting down or setting back up. I recommend Ghirardelli White Chocolate Chips.
Microwave for a total of 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds. Pour the white chocolate/sweetened condensed milk mixture into the mixing bowl with the chocolate dough.
Combine until extremely smooth. Pour the fudge into a parchment paper lined 8×8 pan. Use a silicone spatula to spread the fudge evenly.
Refrigerate the fudge for 2 hours before cutting and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
