Recipe for Peach Salsa

In my opinion, peach season is the best season of the year! And the very best way to celebrate is with this super yummy and incredibly easy peach salsa! (Okay, my peach cobbler is a pretty dang good celebration dish, too.. or even some Peach Mousse. I’m not picky). But oooh, my recipe for peach salsa is going to knock your socks off in the best possible way.

This peach salsa recipe is fresh, fruity, tangy and sweet with a little bit of a kick. It is perfect for just snacking on with your family or serving to a crowd. You’ll love how well the unexpected combination of ingredients meld together to create a flavorful tango in your mouth!

Ingredients in Peach Salsa

*Feel free to adjust the amounts of any of the ingredients to your liking!

  • Peaches, diced  – I always use fresh peaches (canned and frozen make the texture a little weird). I typically don’t peel my peaches but you definitely can.
  • Red onion minced
  • Jalapeno deseeded, minced – If you’d like to make this a little spicier, add some of the jalapeno seeds.
  • Fresh cilantro minced
  • Lime juice  – You can use bottled lime juice if you don’t have a fresh lime on hand.
  • Sugar

How to Make Peach Salsa

  1. Prep by dicing peaches and mincing the red onion, jalapeno and fresh cilantro.
  2. Add all ingredients to a small bowl and then toss until mixed together.
  3. Enjoy with tortilla chips, grilled chicken or however you desire!

Can I adjust the level of spiciness in the salsa?

Yes, you can! I am notoriously a wimp when it comes to spicy things, so this recipe is for a mild salsa. If you’d like to crank up the heat, add in jalapeno seeds or additional jalapenos.

Can I make the salsa ahead of time, and how should I store it?

Making peach salsa in advance is a great idea because it gives the flavors more time to meld. I recommend storing it in an airtight container in the fridge after you’ve mixed it up for up to 5 days.

What dishes can I serve with peach salsa?

This salsa stands well on its own as a dip! But it also works well served on top of grilled chicken, on tacos (especially fish), or in a Mexican rice bowl/salad.
