Ingredients in Ranch Chicken

  • Butter
  • Flour – The butter and flour is combined to make a roux. You can use cornstarch, if needed to thicken, but you won’t need very much.
  • Chicken broth
  • Heavy whipping cream – Feel free to substitute evaporated milk for the heavy cream, if desired, but your final sauce won’t be as thick.
  • Ranch seasoning
  • Shredded rotisserie chicken – I use rotisserie chicken to keep this nice and easy but you could grill some up, too.

How to Make Creamy Ranch Chicken

  1. In a large pan or skillet, melt the butter completely over medium high heat.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add in the flour and whisk until combined. Allow the flour and butter mixture to cook for about 30 seconds.
  3. Slowly pour in the chicken broth while whisking
  4. After the chicken broth has been added, pour in the heavy whipping cream, whisking smooth.
  5. Whisk in the ranch seasoning and add the shredded rotisserie chicken.
  6. Cook until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is heated through.
  7. Serve over rice or alongside baked potatoes. Enjoy!
