- Flour – The butter and flour is combined to make a roux. You can use cornstarch, if needed to thicken, but you won’t need very much.
- Chicken broth
- Heavy whipping cream – Feel free to substitute evaporated milk for the heavy cream, if desired, but your final sauce won’t be as thick.
- Ranch seasoning
- Shredded rotisserie chicken – I use rotisserie chicken to keep this nice and easy but you could grill some up, too.

- In a large pan or skillet, melt the butter completely over medium high heat.
- Once the butter is melted, add in the flour and whisk until combined. Allow the flour and butter mixture to cook for about 30 seconds.
- Slowly pour in the chicken broth while whisking.
- After the chicken broth has been added, pour in the heavy whipping cream, whisking smooth.
- Whisk in the ranch seasoning and add the shredded rotisserie chicken.
- Cook until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is heated through.
- Serve over rice or alongside baked potatoes. Enjoy!
