Hello! This is Melissa, from MamaGourmand and I’m dropping in Karli’s holiday cookie series as a guest blogger. I’m excited to share Salted Caramel Chocolate Bark recipe with all of YOU!

Ever since the best chocolate bark in the world has been conquered, it’s been a homemade chocolate bark explosion around here!

The possibilities are endless – turtle bark, white chocolate bark, peanut butter bark, and this ooey gooey Salted Caramel Chocolate Bark. It’s a madness I cannot stop.

Gourmet bark makes the perfect gift for the holidays. Making homemade bark is fast, easy, economical, and can be made in advance. Check out how to make chocolate bark to discover some unique ways to gift it.

Salted Caramel Chocolate Bark tastes like homemade turtles, which are so popular at Christmastime. Fortunately, bark is simpler and quicker to make.

Instead of pulling individual pieces of caramel and meticulously setting pecans in small dollops of chocolate, Caramel Chocolate Bark comes together in minutes. It’s like the cheater’s version of sheet pan turtles with same delicious results.

Substitutions for Salted Caramel Chocolate Bark

If you happen to not be a pecan fan, some suggested substitutions are:

  • lightly crushed pretzels
  • peanuts or almonds
  • toasted coconut
  • drizzle melted peanut butter chips over top
  • instead of sprinkling with salt, decorate with festive sprinkles, or both!
  • M & M’s or other chopped candy
  • crushed cookies, such as Oreos or Nutter Butters
