Perfectly Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft and chewy and stay that way! Loaded with chocolate chips and vanilla flavor, these are sure to become your all time favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe!
Perfectly Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies check off all of the ‘perfect chocolate chip cookie’ boxes for me. They are chewy and soft, even the next day! The dough is sweet which perfectly pairs with the richness of the chocolate chips. NO refrigeration required and freezer friendly! I honestly can’t find a single thing that would make these cookies better. These cookies are perfectly perfect.
Tips for making your cookies PERFECT:
- Make sure to cream the butter and sugar for literally 3 minutes like the recipe says. Set a timer and don’t stop until it goes off!
- Don’t over mix the flour, this is very important for chewy cookies! I dump all of the dry ingredients in at the same time and mix just until the dough is together.
- Quality Chocolate Chips. Watch for them to go on sale and stock up! Chocolate chips can make or break a cookie! My favorite are Ghirardelli milk chocolate baking chips. Semi-sweet are totally delicious too.
- Use a cookie scoop so the cookies are uniform. Plus, scooping is so much better than rolling. Trust me. I’ve been a cookie making machine ever since my husband gave me this cookie scoop for my birthday 3 years ago.
- Use either parchment paper or a silicon baking mat. I won’t bake cookies any other way now.
- Pull the cookies out of the oven before they are totally done cooking- they will cook more as they cool on the hot pan.

These are perfect. I got my butter to room temp with a trick I read online. I sliced it into 6 pieces for each quarter cup half stick and spread them on a plate. Then I microwaved 2 cups of water in a measuring cup and as soon as the timer went off I put the butter in to sit and set a timer for 10 minutes. I made them last night and they are super soft.
