Instant Pot Steak Fajitas will 10/10 blow your mind. They are SO flavorful and easier than you can imagine. These of course could be made on the stove top, but if you’ve got an Instant Pot that is the way to go.

I am not usually a steak fajita fan, but Dan LOVES them so I was determined to make some seriously delicious steak fajitas.

I tested and tried, tweaked things and tested some more and I think I have found it. You guys, I’ll eat these. I LIKE these! So much so that they are on our big ‘winner dinner’ list we keep.

If I love them, you and your family will too.

Instant Pot Steak Fajitas are done in less than 15 minutes! The steak strips, peppers and onions explode with flavor! This is an easy meal for a busy week night.

To make these fajitas you literally need meat, onion, bell pepper, 3 different flavored seasoning packets and chili powder.

Okay, and water too.. but that doesn’t really count, right?  You could even make it easier by purchasing the pre-cut onions and peppers at the grocery store!

The meat, peppers & onions, water and Au Jus seasoning packet go into the Instant Pot. They pressure cook for 3 minutes, allow for a 5 minute NPR and then quick release the remaining pressure.

Drain the liquid and then turn the Instant Pot onto sauté. Add in dry ranch dressing mix, dry Italian dressing mix and chili powder. Stir to combine and ‘brown’ if desired.

If you like your peppers and onions on the firmer side, hold them out until the end when the dry ranch and Italian dressing packets go in. Sauté them a bit with the meat.

Serve in warm tortillas with cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, cilantro.. just to name a few. The possibilities are endlessly delicious.

  1. What is the sodium content of this recipe? Could you cut back on the dry pkgs & would it affect the flavor? I noticed there are a lot of packages of dry ingredients which would probably put the sodium content thro the roof. The recipe looks & sounds delicious! Can’t wait to try it. Thank you

  2. Hi Betty! I know, there is a lot of sodium in those packets. I am working on my homemade packet recipes which will bring down the salt content quite a bit! Keep your eyes peeled for those! In the meantime, you could cut back on the pkgs, it won’t be as flavorful but you could definitely add your own seasonings to flavor it a little more! Hope this helps, Betty!
