Trust me, you’re going to want to hop on this avalanche bar recipe ASAP. With crispy rice cereal, smooth peanut buttery chocolate, chewy marshmallows and crushed cadbury mini eggs, it is exactly what you want in a treat. And bonus: it’s insanely easy. Especially since we just put the entire mixture in a 9×9 pan to set up instead of scooping out individual portions like we do in traditional avalanche cookies.

Ingredients you’ll need to make Cadbury Avalanche Bars

  • White chocolate chips – Use whatever brand you’d like. I typically use Ghirardelli.
  • Creamy peanut butter – I always use the store brand, but you can use whatever you have on hand. Just steer clear of the natural type.
  • Rice Krispy cereal
  • Mini marshmallows – Make sure these aren’t stale! It will throw off the taste of your finished bar.
  • Crushed cadbury mini eggs – I just run over the bag with a rolling pin until they crack.

How to make Easter Avalanche Bars with Cadbury Mini Eggs

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and peanut butter.
  2. Microwave for 30 seconds and then stir. Repeat this step until you can stir the mixture smooth.
  3. Stir in the cereal and mini marshmallows until coated evenly.
  4. Press into a parchment lined 9×9 pan.
  5. Sprinkle the crushed cadbury mini eggs onto the top of the bars and press the pieces in so they stick.
  6. Place the pan in the fridge to help them set up faster.

How do I store Cadbury Avalanche Bars?

Store your set-up bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.

What can I do to make sure my Avalanche Bars don’t get hard?

When you’re putting the avalanche mixture into the pan, make sure you don’t press down too hard. Compressing it too much will cause it to become too compact and hard as it sets up.
