Recipe: Mini Poptart Cookies

The Movie: Gilmore Girls Rewatch Party 

Hold a vote for what episode(s) you’d like to watch and catch up on the ‘la la la la la’ Fall magic of Gilmore Girls. Bonus points if you hold the vote in the style of a town meeting. If you need some suggestions for maximum Fall vibes, I recommend one of these: 

  • “Kiss and Tell” (Season 1, Episode 7)
  • “The Festival of Living Art” (Season 4, Episode 7)
  • “Knit, People, Knit!” (Season 6, Episode 9)

But truly, you cannot go wrong. The one where Jess gets beat up by a Swan? The wake for a cat? The posh birthday party no teenager actually wants? You’re going to find a good one. 

The Activity: 

I am going to be honest, I can’t think of a succinct title for this activity. It’s multifaceted. 

  1. Encourage every guest to bring their favorite take out to the party and serve all dishes buffet style. The more random the combinations, the better. You can even rate the takeout menus at the end. 
  2. Come wearing something that indicates whether you’re Team Jess or Team Logan. Team Dean isn’t even an option, I said what I said. 
  3. Watch Gilmore Girls, eat junk food, enjoy poptart cookies, and try to talk as fast as you can all night.

Recipe: Pina Colada Cookies

The Movie: “13 Going On 30”

When Jenna’s 13th birthday party does not go according to plan, she wishes she were an adult living her dream life. And bam! The next morning she wakes up as a 30 year old woman and spoiler alert, she doesn’t have everything figured out. Chaos ensues, but don’t worry – this one ends up in a happy ever after. (Sorry for the spoiler, but it is a rom-com…). 

The Activity: Slumber Party!  

Channel your inner Jenna and throw a slumber for the ages. Complete with your cutest (or just coziest) pj’s, a couple of rounds of M.A.S.H, these delish cookies, 13 Going on 30, apillow fight, and whatever else you want! But just for clarity, my ‘slumber party’ is going to be more like a late night where everyone heads home by 9:30 ha.

Recipe: Chocolate Milkshake Cookie

The Movie: “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before”

This one is for fans of fake dating, teenage love, meddling sisters, and a whole lot of chaos! Whenever Lara Jean has had a serious crush, she has written them a secret love letter (to be stored in her closet, of course). But mayhem ensues when her little sister mails all of the letters and past crushes start coming out of the woodwork. Suddenly, LJ finds herself fake dating one of the guys – and it’s looking like crushing on Peter Kavinsky isn’t going to stay in the past. Guys, it’s a good one. 

The Activity: Face masks + painting your nails 

As a tribute to Lara Jean and her little sister, Kitty, August’s COTM club is meant to feel like the ultimate girl’s night! So slap a face mask on, spend way too long choosing your nail color, and enjoy some milkshake cookies with this fun movie!

Recipe: Waffle Cone Cookie

The Movie: “The Lizzie McGuire Movie”

When a middle school class trip to Rome (lucky them!) finds Lizzie McGuire (Hillary Duff)  impersonating an international popstar, you know it’s bound to be cheesy in all of the best ways. Why not take a crazy chance on this formative movie experience? You’re going to love it!  

The Activity: Lip Sync Battle  

Step into Lizzie’s shoes and prepare to lip sync your heart out with your friends! Dress up in your finest early 2000’s outfits and get ready to put on a show. Bonus points if the song you choose is from the original movie soundtrack – I will be performing an all-out version of “Why Not”. (And no, there will NOT be video evidence). But if you feel inclined to share your performance, please tag me – we love to see the fun you’re having with Cookie of the Month Club!

Recipe: Blue Raspberry Icee Cookie

The Movie: “She’s The Man”

Amanda Bynes + Channing Tatum + Soccer + …Shakespeare??? If you haven’t seen this one, get ready to laugh your way through this iconic early 2000’s romcom. (Heavy emphasis on the com). 

The Activity: Pick Up Soccer Game  

You’ve proven your skills in the kitchen, now it’s time to prove your skills on the field! Gather your friends, pound some Blue Raspberry Icee Cookies, laugh yourselves silly during the movie, and see what you’ve got during a little pick up soccer match. Bonus points if you blast a little All-American Rejects while you play. (I’m so there, it’s insane.)

Recipe: Frosted S’mores Cookie

The Movie: “Grease” 

In honor of graduation season, we’re throwing it back with a watch party of  “Grease”. Because a classic mallow/chocolate/graham treat moment deserves a classic movie, right? They just go together like “ramma-lamma-lamma-ka-dingity-da-dinga-dong”.  

The Activity: ‘Drive-in’ viewing of Grease

Let me set the scene: you blow up an inflatable swimming pool and fill it with pillows and blankets until it is cozyyy. Then you and your friends grab an obscene amount of snacks (and cookies) and sing your hearts out while watching “Grease”. Bonus points if you project the movie onto the side of your house and do this all outside!

Recipe: Drunken Love Cookies

The Movie: “27 Dresses” 

Katherine Heigl’s character has been a bridesmaid TWENTY-SEVEN times, and now her little sister is getting married. But maybe she’ll find love, too? Come for the hideous dresses, stay for the drunken rendition of Bennie and The Jets.  

The Activity: A garden party to decorate flower pots. 

Springy with slight bridal-shower vibes, this month we’re throwing a Garden Party. But instead of guessing the groom’s favorite thing about the bride, you’re making darling decoupage flower pots instead.

Recipe: Black Forest Cookies

The Activity: Betty White Party 

An ode to the queen herself, the activity for this month is a Betty White party. Dress like her, act like her, hand out awards (I just really feel like she would appreciate it haha). 

But don’t  you worry, I’ve already handled creating the invitation and the awards certificates for you! Download, edit, and get ready to party!! And pretty please (with a cherry on top of course) will you tag me in any pictures, stories, or reels? I cannot wait to see all the Bettys.

The Activity: A Galentine’s Party 

Grab your besties and celebrate Galentine’s the best way you know how! Maybe you’re team cozy & show up in matching pjs. Or, you need an excuse to curl your hair and wear pretty things – this party will work for that too. Exchange Valentines, paint your nails, arrange flowers or simply catch up before the movie. The only necessary part is stuffing your face with the cutest Pink Velvet Whoopie Pies (daintily, of course).
