In an extra large bowl, toss together the cereal and approximately ¼ of the marshmallows. Set aside.
6 cups (168g) Rice Krispie Cereal, 16 oz (453g) bag mini marshmallows, divided
In a large microwave safe bowl, microwave the butter until completely melted.
1/3 cup (73g) salted butter
Add the remaining marshmallows to the butter and stir to coat.

Microwave for 1 minute, stirring at the 30 seconds mark.
Add the vanilla to the bowl and stir until well combined and smooth.
1 tsp vanilla
Pour the melted marshmallow mixture into the bowl with the Rice Krispie Cereal. Stir until well combined.
Wet your hands with water and then gently press and shape the cereal treats into cookie shapes and top with dehydrated mini marshmallows, if desired.
