Ingredients

  • 6 apples, peeled and cut
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
  • 3/4 cup old fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Start by preheating the oven to 350°F.
  • Peel and cut your apples into slices. Toss the apples with the granulated sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon.
  • Transfer to a greased 8x8 pan or a deep pie dish. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, combine the remaining 1 tsp of cinnamon, oats, flour and brown sugar.
  • Once combined, pour the melted butter and vanilla into the bowl. Stir until you have a mixture similar to wet sand.
  • Pour and distribute the apple crisp topping mixture on top of the sliced apples.
  • Bake at 350°F for 40-50 minutes or until the apples are tender and the top of the crisp is golden brown.
  • Serve warm alongside vanilla ice cream (or plain). Enjoy!
