Pulled Pork

Pulled Pork is made in the Instant Pot or Crockpot and is fall apart tender, flavorful and filling! The doctored up BBQ sauce that covers the pork makes this meal completely mouth watering! This recipe is perfect for holidays, family parties or just a nice Sunday dinner.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb pork roast
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 can coke optional
  • 1 pkg au jus seasoning
  • 2 cups bbq sauce I like Baby Rays
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

Instructions

  • For the Crockpot: Cook the pork roast, broth, coke and au jus seasoning on low for 8-12 hours or on high for 5-7 hours or until fork tender. Skip to step 4.
  • For the Instant Pot: Place the pork roast, broth, coke and au jus seasoning in the liner of the Instant Pot.
  • Cook on Manual HIGH for 90 minutes and then allow for a 30 minutes NPR.
  • Carefully remove the roast and discard liquid.
  • Shred the pork and then return to the liner.
  • Add in the bbq sauce, mustard, ketchup, brown sugar and vinegar. Mix well. 
  • Cover and let it either sit on Low for 30 minutes or turn the saute function and simmer until the brown sugar has all dissolved.
  • Serve on toasted buns.
