Bunny Bait

Bunny Bait is a chewy and crunchy snack mix that combines salty + sweet to make the best Easter snack!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Chex cereal
  • 2 cup cheerios
  • 2 cup pretzels
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 6 tbsp salted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the Chex, Cheerios, pretzels, coconut, and slivered almonds. Set aside.

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Stir in the granulated sugar and corn syrup and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
    6 tbsp salted butter, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • Once the mixture begins to boil, remove it from the heat and immediately pour it over the cereal mixture. Gently stir until everything is evenly coated.
  • Spread the mixture out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, distributing it in an even layer.
  • While the mixture is still warm, sprinkle the M&M’s over the top and gently press them in so they stick.

  • Allow the Bunny Bait to cool and set completely. Once set, break or cut into pieces and serve.
