Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tsp vanilla
  • 12 slices bread *I like to use sourdough

Instructions

  • Preheat your electric griddle to 325°F.
  • In a shallow bowl or pie plate, add the eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla. Whisk until thoroughly combined.
  • Spray the griddle with nonstick spray.
  • Quickly dip one side of a slice of bread into the egg mixture and then flip over, dipping the other side of the bread before placing on the hot griddle.
  • Repeat this step until the griddle is full of French toast.
  • Cook until golden brown. Flip the French toast and then cook again until golden brown.
  • Repeat steps 3-7 until all of the egg mixture has been used up.
  • Serve with syrup, powdered sugar, or whipped cream and fresh fruit.

Notes

For every egg you use, you should be able to make about 4 pieces of french toast. So you can do some simple math to figure out how many pieces you want and be able to adjust this recipe accordingly.
