Peach Cobbler Recipe

This peach cobbler recipe is a buttery, crumbly, delightful love letter to summer & you'll fall head over heels for its simplistic decadence.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups peeled and sliced peaches
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar, divided
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  • Place the butter into a 2 quart (like a 9x9 pan) baking dish and place in the oven while the oven preheats.
  • Peel and slice your peaches and place in a bowl. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of granulated sugar on top of the peaches and stir to coat. Set aside.
  • Once the butter has melted, remove the dish from the oven and add the remaining 3/4 cup granulated sugar, stirring until well combined.
  • Add the egg, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir until combined.
  • Add the flour, baking powder and salt. Stir until a thick batter comes together.
  • Pour the peaches onto the top of the batter. Spread to cover the dish evenly.
  • Bake at 350° F for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the center mostly clean.
  • Serve warm with ice cream. Enjoy!
