Peach Cobbler Recipe

- 4 cups peeled and sliced peaches
- 1 1/4 cup sugar, divided
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preheat the oven to 350° F.
Place the butter into a 2 quart (like a 9x9 pan) baking dish and place in the oven while the oven preheats.
Peel and slice your peaches and place in a bowl. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of granulated sugar on top of the peaches and stir to coat. Set aside.
Once the butter has melted, remove the dish from the oven and add the remaining 3/4 cup granulated sugar, stirring until well combined.
Add the egg, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir until combined.
Add the flour, baking powder and salt. Stir until a thick batter comes together.
Pour the peaches onto the top of the batter. Spread to cover the dish evenly.
Bake at 350° F for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out of the center mostly clean.
Serve warm with ice cream. Enjoy!
