Tater Tot Casserole With Chicken

Chicken Tater Tot Casserole is a family favorite comfort food. This filling meal is easy to throw together with only 6 ingredients that you might already have on hand.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups diced rotisserie chicken or other pre-cooked chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 - 1 1/2 tsp Montreal chicken seasoning*
  • 40 frozen tater tots
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  • In a medium sized bowl, combine the diced chicken, peas and carrots, cream of chicken soup and the seasoning until well combined.
  • Pour and spread the mixture into the bottom of a 9x9 baking dish.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the mixture.
  • Bake at 350° F for 35 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the tater tots.
  • Return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes. Serve warm.

Notes

*use the amount of seasoning that you prefer. I like mine to be a bit heavy on the seasonings so I use 1 1/2 tsp of the seasoning mix. If you prefer yours more mild, use 1 tsp of the seasoning. 
 
This recipe doubles great if you have more mouths to feed! Just use a 9x13 pan and double all of the ingredients.
