Roasted Green Beans

Roasted Green Beans are the perfect side dish. Oven roasted green beans are easily cooked to perfection! Still crisp and green with amazing flavor. Flavor classically or season with garlic and parmesan cheese. The perfect side dish for any meal!

  • 2 lbs fresh green beans trimmed
  • 1 tbsp canola oil or canola oil cooking spray
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (in the green can) optional


  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Place the trimmed green beans in a single layer on a cookie sheet. 
  • Toss or spray with canola oil until lightly coated. 
  • Season with salt and pepper. 
  • Roast at 400° for 10 minutes.
  • Shake pan to move the green beans around. At this point, sprinkle with garlic powder and parmesan cheese, if desired.
  • Roast for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the beans have reached the desired tenderness.
  • Serve immediately.
