Small Vanilla Cake
This recipe is perfect for when you only need a little cake! This vanilla cake is full of vanilla flavor and uses simple, everyday ingredients. This recipe yields 12 cupcakes, one 8x8 cake, or 1 round cake.
Servings 1 small cake
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350°.
Stir the sugar into the melted butter. The sugar should cool the butter down to room temperature.
Add in the eggs and vanilla. Whisk well.
Whisk in the flour, baking powder and milk. Whisk until no lumps remain.
Bake in a well greased pan at 350° for 15-20 minutes, depending on the pan. Pull out of the oven when a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool completely before removing from pan or frosting.
