Fudge Brownies are thick, chewy and gooey! The fudge chocolate frosting is poured hot onto warm brownies; the two kind of blend together to make one extremely rich, Fudge Brownie.
Servings 24 brownies
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup butter
- 2 tbsp chocolate pudding mix powder
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350°. Spray a 9X13 pan with non-stick spray.
Cut the butter into slices (about 1 tbsp each).
Add the butter and chocolate chips to a glass bowl. Set it on top of a saucepan of simmering water. Stir occasionally until the chocolate and butter are completely melted.
Take off of heat and whisk in the sugars. This will lower the temperature of the chocolate. Check to make sure it is room temperature before proceeding.
Whisk in the eggs one at a time until combined.
Pour in the flour and salt. Fold the batter gently until the flour is barely combined. Do not over mix. Over mixing will result in cake like brownies.
Pour the batter into the prepared 9X13 pan.
Bake at 350° for 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Take the brownies out of the oven and then proceed with making the frosting.
Melt the milk, butter and sugar together in a sauce pan.
Bring to a boil and boil for 30 seconds then remove from heat.
Add the chocolate chips and vanilla to the sauce pan and stir until completely melted.
While the frosting is still hot, pour over the brownies.
Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
