Perfectly Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies
Perfectly Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft and chewy and stay that way! Loaded with chocolate chips and vanilla flavor, these are sure to become your all time favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe!
Servings 2 dozen
- 1/2 cup butter room temperature
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°.
Cream butter and sugars together for a full 3 minutes.
Scrape sides of bowl and thoroughly mix in the egg and vanilla.
Add all dry ingredients the the bowl and mix just until the dough forms. The dough should not stick to the sides of the bowl. If it does, add a bit more flour.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop dough onto a parchment or silicone lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes. Pull the cookies out once the centers don't look glossy anymore.
Let the cookies cool for 5-10 minutes on the pan before transferring to a wire cooling rack.
Enjoy with a large glass of milk! These store well for up to 3 days in an airtight container..If they last that long. :)
