  • In a medium saucepan, bring the butter, sugar and buttermilk to a boil while stirring constantly.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat.
  • Add in the vanilla. 
  • Stir in the baking soda. The baking soda will cause the syrup to foam and bubble.
  • Serve immediately over pancakes, waffles, or French toast.
  • Store leftover syrup in the fridge for up to 5 days.
