Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

 Chocolate Buttercream Frosting is rich, creamy and pip-able. This frosting is perfect for cakes, brownies, cookies or your spoon.  Chocolate Buttercream Frosting is the best chocolate frosting I've ever tasted!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup butter room temperature
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
  • Add the butter, milk and vanilla.
  • Using the paddle attachment, combine the ingredients. Start with a slow speed and then gain speed as the ingredients combine.
  • Once the ingredients are mostly combined add in the heavy cream and beat until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
  • The frosting keeps well in an air tight container at room temperature for a few days, or in the fridge for up to 1 week.
