Chicken Street Tacos

Chicken Street Tacos are one of my favorite recipes to make! You can make these quickly with rotisserie chicken, corn or flour tortillas, and all of your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 4 cups diced rotisserie chicken or other pre-cooked chicken
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • up to 1/4 cup fresh minced cilantro

For Serving

  • 16 small street taco sized tortillas can use corn or flour
  • sour cream
  • guacamole
  • cotiga cheese
  • lime
  • pico de gallo

Instructions

  • In a medium sized bowl, whisk the lime juice, water, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, salt and black pepper together.
  • Add the cooked, diced chicken and stir to coat.
  • Heat a large skillet over high heat until hot.
  • Pour the chicken mixture into the pan once heated.
  • Allow the chicken to sit and cook for 30 seconds-1 minute to allow the chicken to brown slightly before stirring. Repeat until the chicken is heated through and browned.
  • Remove from heat, and sprinkle with fresh minced cilantro.
  • To serve, heat your tortillas on a dry skillet until warm.
  • Top with chicken and whatever other toppings you wish.
  • Enjoy!
