Oreo Frosting

Oreo Frosting is a homemade vanilla buttercream with crushed Oreos incorporated into the frosting. Oreo Frosting taste just like a Cookies and Cream Shake! This is perfect to frost a cake, cupcakes, brownies.. you name it, this frosting is perfect for it!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter room temperature
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 15 oreos crushed

Instructions

  • Crush the Oreos in a blender or food processor. See above for more info on the consistency of the Oreos.
  • Place all of the ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer. 
  • Using the paddle attachment, mix all ingredients together.
  • Let the mixer whip the buttercream for approx 2 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • This will keep in an air tight container at room temperature for 2 days or in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Notes

I like to use Clear Vanilla Extract so my frosting doesn't take on a brown hue.
