Ingredients

  • 3-4 medium potatoes
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt or seasoning
  • cold water

Instructions

  • Wash and slice the potatoes into 1/4" to 1/2" french fry sticks.
  • Soak the french fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Remove the french fries from the water and pat dry.
  • Toss the french fries with the oil, making sure that each french fry is coated.
  • Season the french fries (I usually just use salt!) Line the french fries up in a single layer on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. (Parchment paper is a MUST. Read more above.)
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, stirring and seasoning at the 15 minute mark.
  • Turn the heat up to 450°. Stir every 10 minutes until the fries are golden brown.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
