Elevate your side dish game with this oven roasted broccoli! Easily unlock broccoli’s true potential by giving it a quick roast and enjoy a healthier, tastier side in MINUTES.
This Oven Roasted Broccoli is Quick & Delicious!
Do you want to know how to get your kids (or just you) to eat broccoli? Roast it. I’m not joking! Roasting broccoli is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than steaming it. A quick toss in olive oil + your favorite seasoning (I highly recommend garlic salt) and then a pop into the oven and you’re on your way to a standout side dish in a matter of minutes.
This oven roasted broccoli pairs well with tons of meals, adding a healthy dose of vitamin C, Iron, and DELICIOUSNESS! With crispy edges, this tender broccoli is perfectly seasoned and sure to be devoured even by the toughest critics (ahem, my 3 year old.)
How to make Roasted Broccoli in Oven
1. Break your broccoli into small, bite-sized pieces. Arrange on a large cookie sheet.
2. Use Canola oil spray (my non-stick cooking spray) to lightly coat the broccoli.
3. Season the broccoli with salt and pepper. You can for sure let your inner creative out on this step! Garlic, seasoned salt, lemon pepper.. all would be delicious!
4. Roast in the oven at 450° for 15-20 minutes, shaking the broccoli around the pan at the halfway mark.
Oven Roasted Broccoli Recipe Tips
- Be aware that the broccoli will shrink A LOT while roasting, so load that pan up!
- Some will toss the broccoli in a small amount of canola oil, but I find they get overly saturated with oil that way. I like the spray much better.
- The broccoli will become slightly charred and crispy. There will still be a slight snap to the broccoli, which I completely love.
What to Serve with Oven Roasted Broccoli
Serve alongside your favorite meal! I love to add this to my Instant Pot Alfredo! If you are looking for a lighter version, I have an Instant Pot Skinny Alfredo recipe you need to check out!
P.S. Sprinkling some powdered parmesan cheese on the broccoli is AMAZING!!
How to store Oven Broccoli
You can totally store leftover oven roasted broccoli! Just let it cool down and then store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Before eating, just reheat in the microwave or on the stove to maintain those yummy crispy edges.

How long did you bake it with the carrots?
About 20 minutes. The carrots still had a slight crunch to them but that is how I like it. ?
